Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
On a Fujitsu Lifebook E4010, a freshly installed Gutsy selects 30 Hz: ~$ xrandr Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1400 x 1050, maximum 1400 x 1400 VGA disconnected (normal left inverted right) LVDS connected 1400x1050+0+0 (normal left inverted right) 0mm x 0mm 1400x1050 29.7*+ 85.3 74.8 70.0 60.0 [...] TMDS disconnected (normal left inverted right) I try to switch to 60 Hz, but nothing happens: $ xrandr --output LVDS --rate 60 Switching with the Screen Resolution preferences does not do anything, either. The result is that part of the display flickers, on certain colors (the standard desktop background, for example). ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Intel driver selects 30 Hz, and refuses to switch to 60 Hz manually https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/165008 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
