I run a Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 notebook with acpi-support 0.103 and a desktop with Dapper Drake 6.06 with acpi-support 0.85 .
I checked my desktop's /etc/acpi/lid.sh and found the == typo in it, too. The notebook is a Xeron 8640.
