Before that I had to build my own kernels with the patches from Aaron. If these patches didn't help you, then maybe 5.3 won't help you either. Most likely this problem has several causes (firmware/bios/different touchpad types etc...) and therefore a solution might only help some people. I could make a kernel bisect and find out which commit finally helped me. But as long as nobody keeps working on the patches, that would be a waste of my time. For me the problem is finally solved and I don't have to build a manually patched kernel every few weeks anymore... so i am out here.
