I am running into this same error. I have a home server on Ubuntu 18.04 with a raidz2 3 disk ZFS array (not as root filesystem). Today I tried upgrading to the new HWE kernel, but building failed. It hangs at 'checking spl build directory...'.
There is no 0.7.9 package for ZFS in 18.04. And removing zfs-dkms resulted in 'no datasets available' in 'zfs list' after booting into 5.0. So, it seems like a no go? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1815939 Title: Upgrade to HWE stack fails in make of spl module (zfs) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/spl-linux/+bug/1815939/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
