I tried to generate a backtrace using the instructions here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace but Evolution would not launch. I've listed the text of the session below. I tried to run as root using 'sudo' and that seemed to work, but it wanted to launch evolution as if it were a new installation (no email configured at all).
