I am not able to use the workaround described above.

sudo echo deep > /sys/power/mem_sleep

I get
-bash: /sys/power/mem_sleep: Permission denied

and when root account does that I get:
-bash: echo: write error: Invalid argument

Do I need to use a different parameter?
