Yes, this looks like the same thing.  The root of the problem is that
/usr/bin/wodim is lacking the u+s (where user=root) permission.

Fixing it might just be a matter of changing the permissions of this
file in the .deb package.  However, if upstream expects wodim to be
installed in the home directory, that would complicate things somewhat.
