I just started using kazam on Ubuntu 16.04 and this bugs also shows up in my system (xps 15 9550)
I have the standard internal microphone, and also connected an USB logitech H360 headset, which is correctly detected and shows up with lsusb. The headset (both microphone and speakers) are working correctly in the system and I can record with the headphone mic. However in the Kazam preferences window, only the internal devices are shown.
