The machine I originally encountered this problem on was a Toshiba Portege M400 tablet with an Intel Duo processor of some kind. I no longer have the original machine, though I do have another supposedly identical machine.
Gutsy won't run KVM on this machine at all, it just dies with exception 13 immediately after running kvm, before the guest OS boot even begins.
