Also tested wxl´s theory on entering "sudo ln -s /usr/bin/udevadm 
/sbin/udevadm" before starting the install.
This worked fine and allowed me to use "Erase disk" as expected confirming 
guiverc's earlier testing.
Tested on Dell Inspirion 3521 laptop.
