The solution is to modify file /lib/systemd&/system/gpsd.socket as
follows:

...
#ListenStream=127.0.0.1:2947   <--- comment out this line
ListenStream=0.0.0.0:2947      <--- add this line
...

This works for IPv4, but for IPv6, I did not get it working. Anyway, I
have disabled IPv6 from my "production" devices, so this does not
matter.
