WARNING THIS KILL MACHINES!!!!!

Updated a number of ubuntu 20.04 machines around 50% failed
on some i  got the following 
Unpacking libc6:amd64 (2.31-0ubuntu5) over (2.30-0ubuntu3) ...
Setting up libc6:amd64 (2.31-0ubuntu5) ...
/usr/bin/perl: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypt.so.1: cannot open 
shared object file: No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing package libc6:amd64 (--configure):
 installed libc6:amd64 package post-installation script subprocess returned 
error exit status 127
Errors were encountered while processing:
 libc6:amd64
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

if you did not relink /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcrypt.so.1 ->
libcrypt.so.1.1.0 immediately after a reboot you never got prompted for
a password, just straight back to the login screen

You have to boot of a live cd, make the link
