I can get sound to work with a 5.4 kernel - but it's still not great... I haven't found a UCM file that let's it just work yet. What does work is using the alsactl -f downloaded/asound.state.txt bit and then VLC is able to play sound with Audio device set to chtmax98090, Direct hardware device without any conversions.
My most recent attempt had me force installing (to ignore other depends) the Gallium deb http://apt.galliumos.org/pool/main/g/galliumos-baytrail/galliumos-baytrail_3.0_all.deb (this still lets the above alsa restore, vlc bit work, but pulseaudio fails to load) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1609750 Title: Audio not working on Acer Chromebook R11 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/kernel/+bug/1609750/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
