The installation media uses the open source driver "nouveau" for nVidia cards, and recent GPUs are not always well supported. It is recommended to boot in "safe graphics" mode, then select "Install 3rd party drivers" during installation to install latest nVidia proprietary drivers for your card.
To boot in "safe graphics" mode, if you're booting with UEFI, select an entry with "(safe graphics)" from the boot menu. If you're booting in legacy mode, press any key when the purple screen with the small keyboard appears to display the boot menu, the n select an entry with "safe grpahics". I hope this helps. ** Changed in: casper (Ubuntu) Status: New => Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1868473 Title: 20.04 Install screen corrupt on Lenovo P73+NVIDEA RTX-5000 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/casper/+bug/1868473/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
