I just tried this on my (running) Lubuntu 20.04 system, in Qterminal

$ `snap install slack --classic`
slack 4.4.0 from Slackāœ“ installed

In the Internet options I have a new menu item "Slack".

Slack executes (from LXQt menu) & I got to 'sign-in' screen before I
exited; and will now remove snap package.

I could *not* re-create this.  I'm using Lubuntu's default `sddm`
though, and my system is very modified (has `ubuntu-desktop`, `xubuntu-
desktop`, `ubuntu-mate-desktop` installed).
