Hi Dear Randall, I suggest you to check if you have dual graphics on your system or not. If yes, do not waist your time, cause I had the same issue. I tried many many times and even sometimes when I successfully installed it, the issue raised again, once rebooting the system. After 1 month struggling I ended up installing Ubuntu on another system.
