Public bug reported: Hi guys,
I open this issue in the light of ubuntu 20.04 using snap as a deployment mechanism for its own internal ecosystem. Will I be able to do it if my home folder resides outside the default /home directory? Snap has a well-known issue about it: https://forum.snapcraft.io/t /support-for-non-home-homedirs/11209 They are complaining about the impossibility of fixing it without changes in the kernel. Can you help them solve their issue? Otherwise, this will become a chicken and egg problem. This issue is already opened on the launchpad also: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/1662552 but with a different theme: networking.
