Public bug reported: Super key works in normal keyboard shortcuts but not by itself whenever the input method is not the first one in the priority list. When testing keys with the keyboard layout on screen all keys are registered but the super key that is configured to display the activities overview.
When the left Super is configured to show the activities overview, the left Super key is ignored. If the right Super is assigned to that function (via gnome-tweaks) then the left one will be registered but the right one will not. Language does not matter. I tried having the keyboard in pt-pt then en- us, they both exhibit the issue according to where in the priority I order them. Input 1 always works and the others do not. Issue started with update to gnome-shell 3.36.1 (via 20.04 LTS update).
