That seems like quite an incredible statement! I can imagine that many debugging and profiling tools will want symbols. For example, this change is breaking perf right now, as it looks for say libc symbols in /usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/, but the symbols are actually in /usr/lib/debug/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1808508 Title: Valgrind doesn't work in disco [Fatal error at startup: a function redirection which is mandatory for this platform-tool combination cannot be set up.] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/base-files/+bug/1808508/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
