We use libnss-ldapd. I think it may be sufficient to claim:
"System users generally have to be resolvable during early boot already. This means they should not be provided by any networked service ..." [1] So, is this even a bug? If your OS uses systemd, then you need to ensure your system users are resolvable early in boot. I am disappointed that the tmpfiles service can't make your tmpfiles when you launch the service that requires them. I mean ... really? But that is life. Stick your nagios user and group in /etc/passwd and /etc/group and focus on those things that make you happy in this life. If you agree, then please feel free to close this out.
