Thanks for the bug report. The first part of your video when you drag one window over another might be bug 1727225. So to avoid that, try to remember to not drag one window over another when testing smoothness...
The rest of the issue might be caused by high system load. Please try running 'top' in a window while the problem is occurring. What are the top CPU users? Separately please also try 'iotop'. ** Tags added: performance ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Also affects: mutter (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: mutter (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1878988 Title: stuttering or dropped frames in Gnome To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1878988/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
