Comparing to eg. Evolution, Thunderbird is really really slow... Everything is slow! I would consider it next to useless because of this. More complains here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=599619 My hardware is pretty modern; Pentium D 3,2GHz, 2GB RAM with a fast nvidia graphic adapter. No other processes are consuming any resources.
