Is it possible you have changed the name of the Desktop directory in your home
directory? Bug 151576 seems to describe something similar as you are seeing.
Please attach the file ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs to this bug report and
mention the name of your real desktop directory (i.e. it may have the
word Desktop in your own language).
