I have the described problem on my Kubuntu 7.10 desktop (upgraded from 7.04 and update daily). This problem did not show until about one week-ten days ago. All open windows suddenly minimized. This happens randomly while working on any window: it may happen four times in a couple of minutes or not happen in a whole hour and it doesn't seem to be related to a specific program beeing run. When windows are minimized the desktop is shown, just like one intentionally does by clicking on the "Show Desktop" icon on the panel. Simply clicking the desktop icon on the panel restores all windows to their previous size. I am reasonably sure that self minimizing happens only while moving the mouse around the screen, but this is regardless of present pointer position. Corners, sides or centre screen do not make any difference. Definitely an annoying behavior when it happens!
