@Frederick, At least we have to fix this situation so that you'll be
able to install/upgrade packages, and certainly you need that linux-
modules-extra package for iwlwifi driver. So probably there is something
wrong to the file permssions/mount path/file system ... etc., or most
likely, do you have some kind of antivirus program, e.g. Sophos
Antivirus, installed? If so, could you disable it temporarily by:

  $ sudo savdctl disable
  $ sudo apt-get install -f

And to reenable it after it's done:

  $ sudo savdctl enable
