Something along these lines, $ echo 'deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-proposed main restricted' | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/proposed.list $ sudo apt update $ sudo apt install linux-generic $ sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/proposed.list And reboot.
