Public bug reported:

I have a Centos 7 VM running in Ubuntu, on a Lenovo Thinksystem server.
After launching, it starts eating up the whole host memory quite
quickly. If I shut it down, still 32Gb get used by no process. I need to
reboot the host to get back the used memory.

Host:
# free -m
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 80137 72925 5379 6 1831 6447
Swap: 4095 3 4092

# ps_mem
129.7 MiB + 130.2 MiB = 259.9 MiB mysqld
121.2 MiB + 237.3 MiB = 358.5 MiB systemd-journald (5)
200.9 MiB + 208.3 MiB = 409.1 MiB lxd (5)
 30.4 GiB + 30.9 GiB = 61.4 GiB qemu-system-x86_64
