Public bug reported:

The symfony package currently FTBFS using the latest PHP7.4 version on
groovy-proposed (7.4.9-1ubuntu1) due to a patch that is being applied in
order to adjust a testcase in order to workaround an unknown failure
that was happening with an earlier version of PHP7.4.

The patch is d/p/VarDumper-Update-currently-broken-assertion.patch, and
was included in version 4.4.9-1. php7.4-7.4.9-1ubuntu1 contains several
fixes related to array manipulation, which is exactly what the patch
touches. As it turns out, we don't need it anymore because the test
passes normally now.

I'm working on a fix and will post it soon.
