Unfortunately the same bug also in 5.4.! The last working kernel is 5.0. Since the update to 5.3.0-26 ubuntu is dead on my computer. Who did the mistake? It is very frustrating if a whole operating system can't be used any more, especially when u are used to ubuntu/linux since years.
