Public bug reported: I copied a large amount of files, viewed many thumbnails and done other activities which may possibly require allocating more memory in the system. I reached 6.6GB of memory. Then I closed all nautilus windows, but the memory usage didn't lower.
I would have expected that after closing all nautilus windows it would have reduced to normal levels, but it didn't. I don't think this is normal. Memory usage was checked on gnome-system-monitor.
