Public bug reported:

I tried to upgrade to the newest version because when I boot up, the loading
screen flashes at me the whole time and I read that I may just need to update,
but when I do that it throws the error and says I need to go through ppa and
purge entries, I did, all the way back to default and it still says something
is wrong.
