Public bug reported: I've tried reinstalling Pidgin, installing from the source (which I couldn't get to work), and even installing GNU TLS, OpenSSL, and SILC. I've tried using the HTTP method, and switching from the GNOME Proxy Settings to No Proxy. No matter what I do, I can't get Pidgin to connect to MSN.
