Yes, I also removed snapd on all machines in the office, because it was
a total unstable mess in 18.04 and reinstalled the Gnome calculator and
some other apps that had been switched to snaps by default via a method
that actually works everywhere.

Unfortunately the chromium package from the Ubuntu apt repository, which is 
installed *VIA APT* is now installing a snap package. Insane IMHO, but that's 
how it is.
And unfortunately some gov. sites work poorly in Firefox, so we have to install 
Chromium as well, to be able to use those and therefore need snap again...
