Yes, I also removed snapd on all machines in the office, because it was a total unstable mess in 18.04 and reinstalled the Gnome calculator and some other apps that had been switched to snaps by default via a method that actually works everywhere.
Unfortunately the chromium package from the Ubuntu apt repository, which is installed *VIA APT* is now installing a snap package. Insane IMHO, but that's how it is.
