Ican see that this patch was brought upstream on 20200923 and was picked up with v5.9-rc7, hence it's first of all not in stock 5.4 or 5.8. Digging a bit deeper into this I found that it already landed in groovy (Ubuntu-5.8.0-21.22) via: "Groovy update: v5.8.13 upstream stable release" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1898076 Hence it was obviously tagged upstream as stable update for the 5.8 series.
But I couldn't find it in current focal master-next. So the questions is: was it also tagged as upstream stable update for the 5.4 series (which would be recommended)? Or does it need to be manually SRUed to focal? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1867118 Title: dasd_fba io error and kernel panic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-z-systems/+bug/1867118/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
