I cleaned all the *_auotozsys_ snapshots. They were generated by syncoid (which I used for backup) I got a lost of disk space back, but it did not solve the issue. These snapshots were also in my 20.04 (before the upgrade) with no issues (except for using disk space)
I am still getting the error when I run "/sbin/zsysctl state save" ERROR couldn't save state for user "root": user "root" doesn't exist I would like to add that there is a related issue. the root subpool rpool/USERDATA/root_zo0whd is not mounted at boot I have to mount it manually after boot. also possibly related: status zfs-import-cache.service fails. I have to restart it after boot. systemctl status zfs-import-cache: ● zfs-import-cache.service - Import ZFS pools by cache file Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/zfs-import-cache.service; enabled; ven> Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Wed 2020-11-04 16:43:31 PST; 10mi> Docs: man:zpool(8) Process: 2662 ExecStart=/sbin/zpool import -c /etc/zfs/zpool.cache -aN (cod> Main PID: 2662 (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE) Nov 04 16:43:30 i7-7820x systemd[1]: Starting Import ZFS pools by cache file...
