I did my best to debug it, sorry for the delay. For some reason building the debugging package failed, but after an update today it works. I haven't been able to reproduce that specific error, but I did find another. I'll keep on trying to reproduce it, it's intermittent.
"Does this happen with other GTK+ apps as well?" No, but I don't use very many GTK+ apps. "Did you upgrade from Dapper (or otherwise kept around your /home partition) ?" No "With what version of synaptic is this?" 0.57.11ubuntu10 (As of today, but I update almost daily, has it changed since my bug report?) "Can you please try to rebuild the package and get a backtrace of the crash (see http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash) ?" See attachment for the other bug. This new bug tells me I have broken packages, which I don't, after reloading the package cache. I've had this before in synaptic as well on this system, but again it was difficult to reproduce. ** Attachment added: "gdb output" http://librarian.launchpad.net/4518344/gdb-synaptic.txt -- Gdk-CRITICAL, gdk_gc_get_colormap https://launchpad.net/bugs/62328 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
