Greetings! I am using Ubuntu 20.04 on an Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820 and after updating the packages today, my Broadcom --- stopped working.
I proceeded with the steps described above: apt purge bcmwl-kernel-source apt-get install broadcom-sta-source apt-get install broadcom-sta-dkms apt-get install broadcom-sta-common And it got back to work.
