Public bug reported: I don't know the touchpad manufacturer but suspect it is ALPS as that is used in an old Fujitsu laptop I've been using.
The laptop is new and the touchpad has not worked since removing Windows and installing Ubuntu 20.04. Ubuntu is the sole operating system installed. I have an identical issue on a Fujitsu Lifebook U7310, which is also new.
