This looks like the result of filesystem corruption, not a bug in Ubuntu. It is certainly not a bug in the base-files package, which does not provide the mv command (this is provided by the coreutils package). Please try rebooting, which should result in a filesystem check, and see if the problem persists. Be prepared for the possibility that you will have to reinstall your Ubuntu system due to filesystem corruption at a very basic level. ** Changed in: base-files (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1914920 Title: package base-files 11ubuntu5 failed to install/upgrade: new base-files package pre-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 127 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/base-files/+bug/1914920/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
