Public bug reported: Binary package hint: grub
My system has 3 drives, 2 SATA drives that are sda & sdb and one IDE drive that's hda. In my device.map file I did the following: (hd0) /dev/sda (hd1) /dev/sdb (hd2) /dev/hda Windows is installed on hda, but in my menu.lst I have to configure it as if Windows is on (hd1), which tells me that grub is not reading the settings from my device.map file. ** Affects: grub (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Grub ignores device.map when booting https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/176249 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
