I shut down the computer, removed the functioning Gutsy h.d., installed the bricked h.d. in the #1 postion and powered on. The machine stopped with the following on screen: [13.443102] PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 7 of bridge 0000:00:04.0 [13.443146] PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 8 of bridge 0000:00:04.0 [13.658688] Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)
