Comment #5: Wow, I didn't know PWM could be configured like that. Maybe it is the problem and you just haven't found the right Intel register tweak yet.
Comment #6: That's for the nouveau Nvidia driver, not Intel. Can we maybe take a step back and verify the problem you experience really is the LCD panel and not some part of the desktop design?
