Public bug reported: Errors visible in /var/log/Xorg.0.log. You can see the devices get disconnected once the pen enters the proximity of the screen (hover cursor). Uploaded example shows:

It is worth noting that the touch is an easy thing to miss when you don't own a Wacom pen or charged AAAA battery because the touch does not break until you whip out the pen.
