There is a bug in Xubuntu 20.04.2, probably on the lightdm side, which manifests itself in such a way that if a Temporary Guest Session is activated and the user logs in to that session, he cannot log out. It is therefore necessary to reboot via console after admin login using "systemctl reboot -i". Or REISUB. However, sometimes a fictitious Guest user is created, but it is protected by some fictitious password, and what is worse it is not listed anywhere in the GUI user list.
I deleted the related entries in /etc/passwd and /etc/passwd- , deleted /tmp/ and rebooted. The dummy accounts no longer haunt me in lightdm. However, this does not solve a very annoying bug for me ... ** Tags added: lightdm -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1921920 Title: Xubuntu 20.04.2.1 cannot log out, shut down or restart from a temporary guest session.
