fwiw: `fwupdmgr install aa1b94b36c91929fbf75551b8a376d7292f8c51c- hughski-colorhug-1.2.6.cab --force` worked for me on ubuntu bionic (--force required because of version numbering issues fixed in upstream fwupd after bionic release)
