I've not tagged it again (in QA-test), so no evidence of re-occurrence. I just completed a QA-test install (impish) to - sony vaio svp112a1cw (i5-9400u, 4gb, intel haswell-ULT)
all looks good, I also rebooted the device twice and greeter had background images both times.
