Yes, you are right. ReText uses Python-Markdown which strictly follows
the Markdown rules. And the rules say:

> Each subsequent paragraph in a list item must be indented by either 4
spaces or one tab

This applies not only to paragraphs but to any markup, which includes
nested lists.
