Hi slava, thanks for this issue. I think we will have a more flexible approach on how we handle that cloud-init check.
If you want to avoid having that trouble on your machine at the moment, you can add this into /etc/ubuntu-advantage/uaclient.conf ----------------- settings_overrides: cloud_type: "" --------------- This should avoid the cloud-init logic check.
