wb. :) I'll try to tackle it, but my health's not that great right now. IMO one should really prioritize fixing "easy" bugs ahead of doing massive rewrites to things, but you don't work for me, so... :)
The bug's already made it into one LTS. It would be pretty ridiculous for it to still be there in 22.04 as well.
