I have the same issue with an HP EliteBook 840 G5, using an Intel Core i5-8250U (Intel UHD Graphics 620) and an AMD Radeon RX 540.
Under a clean Focal install (20.04.2), I can successfully boot and use my machine under kernel 5.8.0-55, but I get the blank screen described by other commenters under 5.8.0-59. `journalctl` and `inxi` output is available here: https://gist.github.com/myersjustinc/7a60811f846df88bab96b5207c4975f5 Under a clean Hirsute install (21.04), it similarly works under 5.11.0-18 and fails under 5.11.0-22.
